Can my fence create a curve, or only straight lines?

Post and Rail fences are ideal for creating dramatic curves around your driveway or fence line. Each mortice hole has been created to allow an additional 10 degrees of movement left and right, to allow for curvature. Ask us about measuring the curve angle and providing special rails to fit a sharper turn.

Can my fence run uphill or over uneven ground?

Yes! We can adapt your fence to have a smooth line over small hills and divots. They look exceptional running uphill as a strong boundary for your property. Each morticed post hole has been created to allow for an additional 10 degrees of up and down movement, allowing a steep angle to be achieved with ease. Ask us about providing special rails to fit a sharper incline.

Are your fence posts available in morticed options?

Yes. All of our fence posts are available in plain and morticed configurations, depending on the product and size selected.

Do you supply gates and fencing components?

Yes. In addition to posts and rails, we supply premium timber gates and essential fencing components to complete your fencing system.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is our lead time? When will I get my order?

Typically 2-4 weeks. Large orders will typically take 4-5 weeks. We will work quickly to build & freight your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

What timber species do you supply?

We supply high-quality Australian timber including Ironbark (Eucalyptus paniculata/Eucalyptus sideroxylon) and White Cypress (Callitris glaucophylla), both selected for durability and suitability for rural fencing applications.

What is the difference between Ironbark and Cypress?

Ironbark is a dense hardwood known for its exceptional strength and long service life, making it ideal for high-wear fencing.
Cypress is a naturally termite-resistant Class 1 rated timber that offers a lighter, more cost-effective option for general rural fencing. It also has an enviable reputation for being very stable.

How high are your fences?

Our fences are an industry standard height of 1.2m to the top of the post. They can be customised to a different height upon request. Call us to discuss your bespoke fencing needs.

Does painting & or oiling increase the lifespan of the timber?

Yes mineral based stains, oils & paints will add significantly to the lifespan of your timber generally 7-10 years.

Is your timber termite resistant? Yes White Cypress is highly termite resistant.

Ironbark can be treated with a Bituminous coating to deter termites.

Life span – how long do they last?

Cypress is rated as Class 1 out of the ground and typically last 30-35 years

Ironbark is the most dense durable timber available in Australia with a Class 1 rating. Typical lifespan for this timber is 40-50 years.

What size of posts do we carry?

125mmx125mm / 150mmx150mm / 200mmx200mm / 250mmx250mm in 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.4m lengths.

What size are the rails?

We offer 150mmx50mm rails in 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m lengths.

These are supplied slightly over length to allow for trimming onsite if required.

Do you install post and rail fence kits

No, however we can often recommend installers in your area.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver Australia wide. Alternatively, you can pick up your order from our yard in Bathurst, NSW.

Do you supply timber gates to compliment post & rail fences

Yes, we supply a range of bespoke timber gates in various sizes and styles to accent your post & rail fence.

Do you supply timber oils & stains?

Yes, we can supply water & oil based stains, oils & paints that will protect your timber fence & gates. We can also pre-apply them to your kit to save you time.
